Privacy policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Beequation Pro and Beequation Kids ("the apps") are published by Trett Labs Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17310137), registered office The 1812 Building, Wheatley Park, Mirfield, West Yorkshire, WF14 8HE, United Kingdom ("we", "us").
What we collect
Nothing. The apps have no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking, and send no personal data to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your device
Game progress (stars, stickers, scores, streaks and settings) and any player names and pictures you add are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Reminders and the grown-ups lock
If you turn on the daily reminder in Beequation Pro, it is scheduled by your device itself. No notification service or device token is used, and nothing is sent to us. If a grown-up turns on the Face ID, fingerprint or passcode lock in Beequation Kids, the check is done by the device; the app only learns whether it passed and never sees your face, fingerprint or passcode.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive your name, payment details or contact information. Their privacy policies apply to the purchase.
Sharing (Beequation Pro only)
If you choose to share a result, the app opens your device's own share sheet with a short text message. We do not see what you share or who you share it with.
Children
Beequation Kids is designed for children aged 5 to 12. We do not collect personal information from children, and the app contains no ads and no social features. Its only links out (to our help and privacy pages and the Hive certificate) are in the grown-up area. Purchases and settings sit behind a grown-up check. We design the apps in line with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
The Kids app's grown-up area can open a printable Hive certificate on our website. The link carries only three values: worlds completed, stars and the date. Your child's name is typed on the page, stays there and is never saved or sent. The page has no analytics. Our web host, GitHub Pages, may keep the link and those values in its standard server logs.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you through the apps, there is no app personal data for us to access, correct or delete. For press and reviewer contact data, see People we contact for press and reviews. You can contact us with any question at email address.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the policy in the apps' store listings.

beequation.com uses Google Analytics and Metricool only if you say yes in Indie's cookie note. Then Google Analytics sets cookies, and Google receives information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and your approximate location. We use it only to see which pages are useful; Google processes it for us under its data processing terms (possibly outside the UK) and keeps it for 2 months. Metricool (Spain) receives the page you view, the page you came from, your screen size and your approximate location, to show us which posts and pages bring visitors; it sets no cookies and is never used for ads. Google signals and advertising features are turned off, and the browser game page has no analytics at all. If you say no, no analytics cookies are set, and nothing is sent to Metricool either. Either way, your browser keeps your game progress and language on this device, never sent to us. Your cookie choice is saved in localStorage and in a strictly necessary first-party bq-consent cookie, shared across beequation.com and its language sites for one year. Change your mind at any time with this button: . Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
People we contact for press and reviews
This section covers journalists, creators, bloggers and teachers whose public business details we consider for Beequation outreach, and people who ask us for press information or a review code. Trett Labs Limited is the controller responsible for this information. Our company number is 17310137. Our registered office is The 1812 Building, Wheatley Park, Mirfield, West Yorkshire, WF14 8HE, United Kingdom. Contact us at hello@beequation.com.
We collect your name, public handle or outlet, the business contact details you publish and your follower count as shown. These come from your public profile, website or press page, or directly from you if you contact us. We record source links and brief public invitation or company evidence to check whether an approach is appropriate, including Companies House information where relevant. We also keep notes of our messages and any public post you make about Beequation.
We use this information to offer you a free code and press information about our apps. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in introducing Beequation to relevant reviewers and press contacts. We balance this against your privacy by using only relevant public business details, sending personal messages and stopping if you object.
We keep outreach records in our own files on our own computers and use no mailing-list tools. Messages we send, and replies, pass through the email or social platform used (for example Google Workspace email, Instagram or TikTok). Those providers process the messages and associated information under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not sell our outreach records.
We delete your outreach records 12 months after our last contact (or after collection if we never contact you), or straight away if you ask. We may delete them earlier when they are no longer needed. If you opt out, we keep only a minimal do-not-contact note so we do not contact you again.
You can object to this outreach at any time. Reply “no thanks” or email hello@beequation.com and we will stop.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information, or restrict how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) (opens in a new tab).
